Magic Magic? What does this name mean? It means all processes that transcend natural laws of the Earth by accessing the laws of a higher world.
One magic or many magics?
There are different kinds of magic: natural magic and artificial magic, the latter includes ceremonial magic and the so-called "black" magic. The so-called "white" magic can also, however, be natural or artificial.
Most magic is based on Qabala (or similar systems) that allow us to understand its basis and later its mechanisms.
A universal key to remember in magic is what philosopher Francis Bacon said "We dominate Nature by submitting to its Laws”. In magic, the problem is to know where the Laws of Nature are.
Qabala (or similar systems) state that the world consists of a succession of levels whose density increases from the first level to the last – the level of our world.
Each of these layers, or levels, is a world. In each world, as in ours, the Laws of Nature are intangible. Levels of energy therein are different, the power of the energy being inversely proportional to the density of the world concerned. The physical world we live in is the densest of all and therefore its energy is the lowest of all.
The basis of magic is that a world of higher energy can transcend the laws of a world of lesser energy. Hence the "secret" of magic is to have access to a world of energy greater than that of our Earth to have authority on it.
Natural magic: this is where the person has natural access, i.e.
by himself, to a higher inner world. Whether that access was obtained by a long evolution of the being or by his own initiation, the result has the same value since the level of consciousness makes positive actions possible. The magic thus practiced is on an ethical plane or higher level than what is called "white magic" in artificial magic.
Artificial magic: it also uses the energy of a higher world but it is a world in which the magician has no direct access; therefore he will resort to practices which are known by the name of ceremonial magic because they are similar to ceremonies and they use different types of rituals. These operations give the magician momentary access to the laws of a higher world so he can also change the laws of our world to act according to his will.
In all these operations, we must not believe the laws of nature are violated. The magicians are strictly required to follow the natural laws of the world where they have access, otherwise they would be ineffective. The power of these laws will give results in our world inaccessible by current laws.
The main drawback (or advantage for others) is that in this type of operation we do not have the high level of consciousness of a higher world as a guide. We are guided only by the level of consciousness of the Earth. What is generally called "white magic" are operations performed using this technique but with an altruistic sense. If such operations aim at a selfish or downright negative purpose, then it is called "black magic".
What must be understood is that if we develop "heart defenses" within ourselves, which each of us can do, black magic will have no, or at least very little effect on us.
Let’s specify one last point. The state of power provided by artificial magic only lasts for the duration of the operation, whereas the state of consciousness necessary for natural magic is maintained in further incarnations.
